Trafficking Ends with Action

Trafficking Ends with Action (TEA), is an anti-trafficking organization currently based out of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. They promote awareness and action in combating the heinous crime of human trafficking or modern-day slavery. By holding documentary screenings, bringing in speakers, and hosting workshops, TEA hopes to educate students and the community about this illicit trade. In addition, TEA is active in doing community outreach, working with law enforcement and service providers, and much, much more! The first meeting of the year will be this Thursday January 29 at 7 pm in Union 143 by the Fireside Lounge.

Culture Cafe

Culture Café creates a time and a space for all globally-minded members of the UWM community to interact and get to know one another over coffee, snacks and a brief, informal presentation on the featured culture.

Each Culture Cafe features a different country or culture that is presented to the attendees by a UWM international student, faculty member or a return study abroad student.

Culture Cafe is held in Garland Hall room 104 from 2:00-3:00pm. All students are invited to attend and share their insights and expertise.

Spring 2009 dates are:

February 12 and 26
March 12 and 26
April 9 and 23
